This compilation curated by Oof Records is a benefit with proceeds going to Emergent Works—a nonprofit software company that trains and employs formerly incarcerated people.

Black and Latinx people make up 32% of the US population and 50% of the prison population, but only 15% of the tech workforce. Emergent Works strives to correct this imbalance.

Emergent Works interrupts the prison cycle by creating pathways into high-paying jobs in technology for formerly incarcerated people.

Donations help cover their program costs: instructors, space, food, learning supplies, hardware, software, and MetroCards. You can also support their students by donating gently used laptops! (more info on emergentworks.org)
